@_Jambax Just wait until you try to download it, input your phone number and they ring you to discuss their plans...

If you can navigate Perforces' website, and find the latest version of P4V in less than 30 seconds I will send you a crisp "congratulations". Apparently they also rebranded "Helix Core (formally P4)" to "P4 (formerly Helix Core)"?

@redorav Didn't know you were working on this. When you writing your own C++ compiler? 👀

Development has slowed down a bit since I've been focusing on crstl, an stl replacement you can find here. It's still very experimental but I'm quite happy with it so far and it has replaced all my use cases for std and eastl! github.com/redorav/crstl

800 stars today! It's a small thing in the grand scheme of things but it's nice to see that people still find use for a new game-oriented math library in C++ github.com/redorav/hlslpp

interesting take! youtube.com/watch?v=Wz0H8H… P.S. i blame @redorav for his earlier tweet few days ago about "C++ is dead, long live C++", as since Emilio's tweet, i've been stuck in that @ThePrimeagen channel listening while working, eating, walking, pissing! cool content in there!

Most games make their corpses disappear, but in Starship Troopers: Extermination, they don't only keep them but also replicate and let players walk on the piles of corpses. See how they did it in this Unreal Fest talk on their "Carnage" system: youtube.com/watch?v=dengjP… #uetips

@SanderVhove Could you make it so there's a 0.001% chance of it creating a banger video game for you?

@_Jambax Too true, doing some landscaping we keep finding all sorts of bodges. The worst so far being a line electrical connection just being cut rather than removed

The true DIY experience is finding out your house is held together with hopes and dreams. The only reason jobs take so long is because of all the cowboy bodges you have to fix first.

@veezen3d Why not allow it to be a choice? A full day a week for personal learning would be amazing.

If I ever create my own game development studio, I will introduce a 4-day work week, with the fifth day dedicated to gaming - and you would need to provide a proof that you really played the game. To be a great game developer, you need to play games a lot. Would you follow this?

@redorav The last couple of sections actually would be good advice for people that are starting out working in bigger projects, the ability/skill to independtly breakdown a code base I find is quite important and don't think it's valued enough.

@redorav Very fitting that I'm reading this post just as I am batch compiling various unreal configurations after getting latest. Good post and I agree with pretty much most of it. Then again maybe you influenced me during our time working together 😂
