Games Workshop sent me the new Custodes as an early review copy, so I decided to paint the lady captain in nmm gold. It's a beautiful model, although all of the filigree makes my eyes bleed #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #horusheresy #Adwip #daemonrich

@criken14 I've achieved this effect with both! Because I had some many to do i did this effect with a white oil wash and then airbrushing. Then going back in with a brush to pick out the vents

Good morning. Final comment I'll make about this is I'm currently 22. I've only seriously been reading warhammer books since I left foster care at 18. A bunch of boomers didn't think that far. Anyways, what are we reading/working on today? Fusiliers and First Marshall for me!

@yrpaint Thank you so much! Practice practice practice. The big changes for me over time were using a pale yellow as the last step before tiny dots of white and glazing blue into the shadows

@Auzdas1 Ykno I can't say I remember it was a couple years ago now. Fairly sure this was the end point but looking back it could do with a bit more smoothing out. Some kind of recess shading would be great for sure too

@Jonny_Sotonmini Oh, that's beautiful. Got anything left to do on it? Thin wash, oil or panel liner? I'd be too worried about risking it.
