@JimSpenceDundee The only answer is more clubs offering a genuine pathway. I suspect those that do will reap the rewards. Interesting to see St Mirren publicly state this is their new plan.

Undoubtedly true, but how you persuade young players, advisors and parents, that moving for life changing sums of money is a bad move will prove difficult if not impossible. Even a quota system won’t guarantee that young heads won’t be turned by bright lights and big rewards, that Scots clubs can’t match. And since Bosman was about giving players more freedom of choice, I don’t see how that genie is ever put back int the bottle. Any form of attempted restriction on players will likely prove legally challengeable.

Zendaya's pay-off is stunning. Cinematography both gorgeous & frustrating (focus issues??) Action both thrilling & incomprehensible. Didn't mind the dialogue style - just being in English is an extreme departure from the original, glad they went all the way and made it modern.

Finally saw The Odyssey and the way Nolan manages to connect the story to today is pretty incredible. A bunch of people with American accents crushing rules of decency & cooperation in the name of self-centered ideas of the greater good, all while fearing outside invaders...ouch

Vincent Pastore, known for playing mobsters in film and TV, most notably Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos, has died. He was 80. @jonnyrmcfarlane How can guys, that discuss and write about football, be that utterly clueless about it? Wrong side, trips him due to poor positioning. The only debatable thing is the red, I don't believe he has intentionally fouled him, but in today's laws of the game, it's a clear pen and red.
