Another example of korras story meddling with established things in ATLA. its clear the arrow was meant to reflect the sky bisons it wasnt meant to be something that evolved that way over time. I hate how the new stuff is so bound to korras BS

Except metal is malleable. Rock isn't. By having more impurities within the metal, they could have a better sense and control of the metal they are bending and because it's malleable, it can sustain the shape change the bending is causing it. There's a lot of stuff to complain about when it comes to Korra but the advancements in metal bending was one I thought was well done.

This scene is a good example of my issue with metalbending in Korra. In the original series, Toph had to be in physical contact with the metal, because it was much harder to bend than actual earth, because she was bending the impurities within it. Meanwhile, the metal bending in Korra is basically the opposite, they actually bend with far more precision than anyone bends earth with, which doesn't make any sense. It's kinda in the same vein as the lavabending, where instead of applying any actual logic to it, they treated the bending as pure sorcery. Korra doesn't learn it from anyone, she just has it, because she has more Bending Midiclorians than everyone else, I guess.

One was on the brink of death and barely survived, while the other one if we follow the rules of the show, should have destroyed the avatar cycle
