@akeebabackup @joomla The new rules are oriented to better support Cloud-based/ SaaS extensions, that require the associated service to provide the main functionality. Akeeba Backup Core is a full extension, following the standard JED rules. No need for any change. Txs for asking 👍

@joomla Akeeba Backup Core has a JSON API which allows third party, paid / free trial SaaS to integrate with it. Is it covered by these rules? If it is, we will need to remove that functionality from the free of charge Core version to avoid being listed as Paid. Thank you for clarifying.
