@Under_1_sun is closing its storefront in part to huge lease increases. Did @downtownPtbo help them find another location? No. I am not buying what the DBIA is selling. So sad

@moraymartinpost I don’t know who gives the tax break and it is not administered by us. I agree with you that it can be disparaging to be a small business owner but at the same time, there are advantages of being a business owner. :)

@JoonPtbo Who gives the empty stores the tax break when they are empty? Landlords? It's just getting so disparaging for small stores

@moraymartinpost Well, I can’t speak on behalf of Terry or Steph. It is her decision to move her business online and I think we just have to support her decision and wish her well even though it is sad to see her go. :)

However, I also believe that there is a lot of room to have a new and innovative market for downtown. When more things are available, we as customers will be more cautious and more aware of our environment.
