Aptos, I'm Out.
Some time ago, I applied for a grant. I believe that if a project is constantly developing, has a strong community, and contributes to the ecosystem, it deserves a grant. We have numerous examples on other blockchains that prove this. But not on #Aptos.
Because Aptos is a chain of double standards.
When we did some really cool things like an IDO with vouchers (the first time on Aptos) or gave away tokens to 100,000 users to prove the network's low cost and speed, we were not supported. Because we are a meme project, and it could be seen as shilling. Well... okay... But hold on! Uptos is 100% a meme project with full support from the official Aptos page. They received a grant and a response from Mo Shaikh. When we asked for a retweet when we launched our FREE and safe game (no need to sign any transactions), we were told it wasn't possible due to the "legal department." Funny, right?
Aptos Fomo & Fomo Tap
When I created this project, I always felt that I poured my soul into it. It's not surprising when you spend all your days working on a project; it becomes your "child." When our project went live, the price of $APT started to drop. Naturally, people began panic selling their meme coins and buying back into bigger projects. Of course, this affected our price and liquidity. But we didn't stop; we started developing FOMO TAP. And we started doing it very actively because the trend is just beginning. But unfortunately, resources are not infinite - we applied for a grant. We have a community. We have a WORKING product. And we were rejected. Because it's better to live with projects that just throw dust in your eyes. Who have an MVP product that was made in two days.
Conclusion
With this tweet, I want to sever all my ties with the "official" Aptos. I am also leaving my membership in the Aptos Collective. From now on (as before), we will build the project ourselves. The only thing that has changed for us is that we have finally confirmed our suspicions about how things work here.
