Was impressed with new Crypt of Agadeem Lessons deck so wanted to try something with Eyetwitch and ended up liking this Golgari Ritual Lessons alot! 😍😍😍 Deck is superfun and really grindy + can play and win vs everything! 😊 Would be nice to have more interaction overall in 75, but deck requires high creature count and space is tight, so far ended up with this build! 😎🧐

Update to Dellian's Demons post #PTSoS for #Strixhaven #Standard - With the emerging reign of GW landfall, some major points of concern emerge: 1. How does #GolgariMidrange keep up with the speed of the landfall decks? Early ramp, specifically Shared Roots, I feel, is the answer - NOT Badgermole Cub of our own, which is significantly worse for midrange than for landfall, especially without fetches and without Ouroboroid. In slower matchups, Roots to accelerate into Dellian / ensure land drops is still nice. 2. How does #BGRock keep up with the massive board-vomit of the landfall / Boid decks? The answer is sweepers, and not just "little guy" sweepers like Harvester of Misery, but sweepers proper, ala Day of Black Sun & Vicious Rivalry (not featured in this image, but could easily see making space in the sideboard for 2 copies, trimming 2x HInv or Heritage Reclamation). 3. Ba Sing Se. Running Soulstone Sanctuary means not running Demolition Field or Petrified Hamlet, which means either having a board presence that can overwhelm Ba Sing Se, or, additionally, a Ba Sing Se of our own, which works nicely with our 4 innate manlands + Mutable Explorers. 4. Cutting topend for early removal. Have gone down Mutable Explorers because Shared Roots is already ramp + you will not be allowed the time to slowly get value off of plays that add little to the board. Instead, Stab: not ideal, but works reasonably with HoM (so could see 4 HoM main, Day of Black Sun in the side) against bigger creatures, but most crucially, is additional answers T1 on the draw. 5. Preparing for Spellementals & Prowess, which traditionally have been answers to Landfall. For Spellementals, this means more dedicated graveyard hate, big creature removal, and discard so they can't hold their payoffs; for Prowess, the additional removal and sweepers should be good enough (HoM uncounterably kills Slickshot at instant speed). Dellian's lifegain goes extra hard here. 6. Selesnya Gearhulk-Boid & Azorius Flash establishing themselves as new archetypes. This version of Golgari is generally just fine into these, given sweepers, Maelstrom Pulse, and enough cheap removal to really slow down their more explosive starts. Against UW, Stab kills Aven Interrupter, and Harvester of Misery channel is not a spell and thus gets around High Noon too (never thought I'd see the day when I miss Cut Down so much, Requiting Hex was designed to guarantee a complete lack of scaling). Against GW, keep calm and boardwipe on. There's potentially a lot more to be said and done here, but this is a good start in the days following the PT! Good luck out there, don't get the Badgermoles bite.
