
Bryson DeChambeau was asked how the course played today at The Open and he emphasised the need to be “strategic” in an obvious dig at Sir Nick Faldo’s comments: “I think you've got to be a lot more strategic out on the golf course. I feel like I did a really good job today of being incredibly strategic and focused super hard on placing it in the right places. “Besides 18, I placed the ball in some good areas. I just need to hit more fairways. Other than that, I feel like my strategy was nice today.” Bryson declined media after the round I don’t blame him in the slightest. He gets used as a punching bag for easy clicks far too often and it must get exhausting being on the end of it. Bryson is 19 under for his last 4 rounds at The Open and if he keeps up this incredible form on links golf, media will get the chance to speak to him at some point this week.
