My grandmother and her little sister in 1949 by Richard Harrington & a photo I took in 2022. They moved away from each other for many years & reunited both suffering from dementia.

I'm happy about our MP #Nunavut Lori Idlout crossing the floor. I honestly have wondered why Nunavummiut voted for NDP in the first place.

New book I am reading, to reconnect with my heritage and learn I believe it was written by/includes elders and my new found cousins, Karetak's. I am a Voisey/Ford. @AniUluadluak4 any relation to Donald Uluadluak? I am blessed to be reading the elder's words to learn.

It has been good to visit our brother in our own homeland in Nunavut carehome for Inuit with dementia. We had to travel far to Ottawa before to see him.

There are very few countries in the world where the Head of State, Head of Government, and Leader of the Opposition drop everything, come together, hold hands, and grieve like this. This is my Canada and the Canada I am proud to be raising a family in.

Rise and shine

Steep hills are fun to slide in: going up, not so much fun as a parent.

My daughter is all grown now, she introduced me to dadhood. She got all my attention by herself before her brothers were born. 😄 When she makes her little bro cry, we hide our faces from mom & giggle 🤫 and then we say sorry.

My grandfather passed away in 2017. He was tough on me, but later in his life before he passed away he walked me through all the work we did together & said “this is now something you can be proud of & carry the knowledge & skills with you.” A lot of things remind me of him.

Seems like yesterday - now she’s texting me with her mom’s phone. I’m always amazed by her text and spelling skills.

@NeiJingLover My grandparents enjoyed the modernization. But my grandfather preferred to live the way they used to. He felt he could provide a living that way.

@JordanKonek Beautiful! Which do they prefer, the old ways or the modern ways? My fam is from the jungle. They prefer modern life in general 🫤

@Handsy_hanson We are Inuit, however we don’t consider ourselves a tribe.
