Western CO handed Fort Lewis its 4th consecutive loss and kept their own playoff hopes alive with a big 85-77 win over the Skyhawks on Saturday (2/14/26). The Mountaineers got the win by shooting 50% from the field, including 40% from behind the arc, while holding Fort Lewis to 37.3% shooting, including 31.6% from the 3 point line. Aidan McDowell scored 27 points, giving him 649 points for the season. Currently, McDowell is the D2 scoring leader, as he is 59 points ahead of Young Harris’ Carl Cleveland, who is currently in 2nd place with 590 points. 6’5” wing Jordan Kuac has been @JordanKuac an all-around presence for Western Colorado @WCU_MBB . A JUCO product who made an immediate impact, he finishes strong at the rim, stretches the floor, and provides rim protection. Through 18 games, he’s averaging 10.2 points and 5.2 rebounds.
