We can today confirm the appointment of Ufuk Talay as the Head Coach of the Wanderers Isuzu UTE A-League team for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 seasons. Talay will join the club’s football environment this week, beginning preparations at Wanderers Football Park for the 2026/27 season, while current Head Coach Gary van Egmond will continue to lead the team through the conclusion of the 2025/26 season: wsw.football/48fEH6p #WSW

It should be remembered that Alen Stajcic had the foresight to sign Scicluna to a long term contract AFTER his did his ACL. He recognised his enormous talent. The one that didn’t get away from the Wanderers.

Then add that he was coached poorly and played out of position…took him a year to adjust and now he’s ok
