I'm gonna say something extremely controversial. If there were to be a Destiny 3, I would love to see class identities be a thing of the past. No Warlock, no Titan, no Hunter. A paracausal being with a huge pool of powers/elements to build upon. Whether they want to keep Light and Dark idc but I'd love to see players build their own entity, not tied to a class.

That's totally valid, I'm more coming from the point of view of what guardians used to be in the warlord ages. I like the idea that we've done for the past 10 years Warlock Hunter Titan, but if we are hypothetically speaking looking at a new entry in the series I personally would love to see innovation. I feel like we have done the three classes for enough time. But that's just me your opinion is absolutely valid too.

@JordanSVP I’m so far in the opposite direction that I think each class now doesn’t have an identity anymore. I think they need to make them more different and actually play differently

@JordanSVP In theory I could see this happening. Easier on developers too. Right now if they want to introduce a new subclass/aspect they have to do three at a time. Lore wise there’s nothing stopping guardians from using any power. they just arbitrarily categorized themselves.

@JordanSVP Neea, we need classes but we need more interesting powers and not so grounded or copy pasted for the "new" ones with different skins. They also need to ditch the"please bring back x Destiny1/2 item back" and create a totally new sandbox and learn some from borderlands rolls.

But yeah like it's been 10yrs of the same three classes, then prismatic blending abilities together. I feel like if they were to do a D3 we need proper innovation and not just....a different flavor of the same thing

@JordanSVP yea makes sense, knowing the destiny community though itd prolly be like one best all rounder build, unless bungie could make combat evolve in a way where its not just about oneshotting everytjing and youd actually need a tank/agile player. most of d2 is stand in well and shoot
