@inthemageors If you can only do one, go to Florence. City vibe, but you’re in Tuscany and can easily get a car and drive out to the countryside and visit wineries and other small towns. Ideally, do Rome for a few days, then take a train to Florence so it’s the nest of both.

Which is why the Micah trade was just so, so bad. We can debate the ultimate idea of paying Parsons or swapping him for Quinnen (and stuff). But, where the logic takes a vacation is the when/where and how the Jones Boys were willing to sabotage 2025 as a whole to do it.

@ajpeebles @SportsSturm And even if the ankle sprain somehow scared you away as thinking he was injury prone, which is just laughable, it still doesn’t explain the when and how they did the trade, which was objectively bad. Hiding behind hindsight to justify bad decisions is no way to build a team.

@ajpeebles @SportsSturm You can’t count this years injury when deciding not to sign him last offseason. This isn’t a hard concept to understand. There is no way anyone could have predicted he’d tear his ACL. And there was no back injury. It was all a part of negotiating.

@ajpeebles @SportsSturm If you think the ankle sprain from 2024 and the “back injury” he had in training camp, that disappeared after the trade, are somehow a future indicator of a non contact ACL tear that he was going to suffer this year then I can’t help you. Best of luck to you.

@ajpeebles @SportsSturm That’s just an excuse that could be made for every single player ever. If you believe that’s valid reasoning then they shouldn’t sign any star players ever. Just build entirely through the draft and cheap FAs. It’s a completely garbage way of building a team.

@SportsSturm FWIW, Jones specifically addressed the injury concern prior to season starting saying they cant pay someone that much when they cant stay on the field. And here we are. I didnt like the trade but the injury, which was a real concern before the trade, happened. Its material.

@brad_polumbo Honest question, if Obergefell was overturned, wouldn’t the RFMA only protect marriages already performed? The RFMA would not require states to continue issuing marriage licenses, and each state could, in theory, pass new bans on same sex marriage, couldn’t they?

@Thatjohnguy17 The freshman that would have gotten you out of the inning 2x had the top 5 defense made a routine double play or line out? The intentional walk is a crapshoot. And the offense wasn’t reliant on the long ball. They just didn’t string hits together here.

Ole Miss, the 2022 CWS champ, was indeed in the middle of the conference rankings, at 8. Also, it’s a 64 team field that SEC teams consistently emerge from and go to the CWS at higher rates than other conferences. And it’s not just 6 of the last 7. That’s 6 different sec teams.
