Controversial opinion: Jazz is simply failed music. It sounds like a child scribbling all over the page. Formless, meaningless, and unpleasant. Just a bunch of random noise that people trick themselves into liking, while they become numb to true musical quality in the process. The total randomness and atonality of jazz is the PURE opposite of what music is supposed to be.
