@OiringAbbey@KIN110UofR this is really interesting and an important topic to be aware of as global warming has been affecting places all over the world
@KIN110UofR My favourite topics from this semester have been deviance in sport and gender because it showed the sides of sports that don’t often get media coverage and interested me to see what kinds of on the field and off the field deviances occur in the sports world
@KIN110UofR@WelterBryce In my opinion fighting in hockey should stay because it is a part of the sport. Fighting is a way to prove a point or settle something between the players or teams.
@KIN110UofR An example of on the field deviance in sports has to be the pitching card scandal that happened earlier this year between the blue jays and the Tampa bay rays google.ca/amp/s/www.spor…
@jtondy7@KIN110UofR Changes are being made throughout sports but they are taking some time and facing some pushbacks. There will forever be changes in sports it’s just a matter of how much will be changed
@KIN110UofR In the nhl jack eichel is going through a situation where the savers are pushing him so hard to get a surgery and do it there way that he’s almost been forced to leave the team
@KIN110UofR I believe that the world is changing in a good way and is becoming more inclusive and opening a lot of opportunities for women in sport but there is still room for improvement
@KIN110UofR I think the games are reasonably priced. You are paying for the entertainment. Yes some sporting events can be very expensive and are extremely over priced but those seats are marketed for the upper classes that can afford them
@KIN110UofR Having a coach who isn’t focused on the competive aspect of the game and is there for the benefit of the players and teaming them the game is the best way of keeping sports fun
