If there was such thing as a “secret sauce” to infield play… this would be one of the ingredients. Elite infielders have elite feet… (and hands, arm, eyes). They dance with the pitcher, the hitter, the ball. It’s all a big dance. One of the best ways to improve your feet and overall athleticism (timing, body control, rhythm) is to learn to jump rope at a very high level. Start simple. Add difficulty over time. 15 reps forwards, backwards, eyes open, eyes closed, for speed, to the beat of dance music. It will transform on-field game performance. I fully believe in it. This young lady is a professional soccer player. Her feet are her lifeblood. Seeing high level jump rope opens up the world of possibilities to the person seeing it. I don’t know her name or own the rights to this song.
