why is colorism so normalized in this fandom

I really just thought neutral tones fit his personality better (i did the same with Jonathan and Hopper theyre also just shades of brown close to their actual irl colors)I'm gonna rework his design.thanks for the feedback I see how it came off wrong. @Jose_Blank_ @luckybyers thanks for taking the time for fixing it but i think the main reason we was irked is because you have him the pony that most looks like him like everyone besides will has some crazy color schemes going on and lucas just looks like lucas as pony nothing special besides the stripes

@timebreaths @CrayonRir zebras are spell casting potion makers. the only party member who would remotely fit that description would be will as a sorcerer and even then it’s a stretch because zebras don’t have innate abilities

@luckybyers Its really just cause I made them each the color I associate them with and for Lucas it's red so I did dark red I didn't think it was a less fun color tbh also I thought more neutral/natural colors fit him cause he's the more down to earth/realistic of the group (in s1 at least)

@Joselepompier okay, it just came off as weird because every other character was a fun pastel color. It wasn’t a Jab at your art skills or anything because the ponies themselves are cute

@luckybyers I did the pony. Honestly I really wasn't trying to march his skin tone, I made him dark red (which ok it does look maybe too brown, it looked a lot more red on my drawing tablet)
