After two long years, my time at Fresno State is finally ending. I'm sad that I have to go, as the knowledge I have gained and the friendships I made have helped me with my growth as a person. While one chapter ends, another opens. Thank you guys! Once a bulldog always a bulldog!

I had the amazing opportunity to produce for Fresno State Focus's 4th newscast! Being in charge of the newscast was a great challenge that taught me much about leading a team. Now that I have done it I plan to take those skills I learned with me after graduation! @FSFocusTV

My favorite part was when she talked about what it’s like to ride on Air Force One and ask the president questions. Some advice that stuck out the most to me was “Make yourself indispensable, do things no one else can do.”

Fresno State Focus reporters had the chance to hear from senior NPR White House Correspondent @tamarakeithNPR at KVPR in Clovis today. In a highlight, Keith emphasized the importance of community storytelling, “Communities are stronger when they have strong journalism.”

@FSFocusTV is looking promising this semester! Right now we are going through bootcamp to give us a refresher on how we can each succeed as a reporter and you can just feel the passion in the classroom! @peacekim @FresnoStateCAH

For my long form feature story in #MCJ102W, I had the opportunity to write about my neighbor Larry Caruthers! He's a handyman who is 78 years old that enjoys helping others! While a lot of people would consider retiring at his age, he has no intention to stop doing what he loves.

This week in MCJ 124 I have the opportunity to do a live-shot! I am excited for this opportunity as I have learned so much since doing my first live shot when I took MCJ 126 over a year ago! I plan to be more interactive and talk with my hands.@peacekim @FSMCJDept @FresnoStateCAH

Recently for MCJ 124 I got to build a news rundown. It opened my eyes on why its very important to make sure each story is properly timed and flows well with other stories. I feel confident for when I take Fresno State Focus next semester! @peacekim @FSMCJDept @FresnoStateCAH

This week in #MCJ124 I had the chance to create a video package at the Fresno Vineyard. It was a great experience that allowed me to practice my stand-up as a reporter. I look forward to creating more in Fresno State Focus! @peacekim @FSMCJDept @FresnoStateCAH

Last week I took the opportunity to go to the Fresno State Veterans Resource Center and learn directly from veterans about all the benefits they get through the VA. Overall, I feel I now have a better understanding of how veterans are being taken care of and what they still need!

This week in MCJ 124, I experimented with video sequencing and how to get multiple different shots to help tell a story. This clip is called the Bird-eye shot where you take a video of your subject from a high angle. #MCJ124 @peacekim @FSMCJDept @FresnoStateCAH @valleyanimal

Clovis Unified School District member Maiya Yang has decided to retire after five years of working as a general counsel member! She was given recognition by members of her district during a board meeting on Oct. 9 and delivered a heartfelt closing speech to her peers. #MCJ102W
