TRENDING: Texas Tech has removed all weights under 40 lbs from their weight room 🤣 Is this a smart idea to motivate guys in the weight room, or will this be counter productive because players can’t slowly build up weight? “There is no substitute for strength, and there is no excuse for the lack of it.” Is written on the wall in their weight room 👀 Texas Tech is building a monster right now, and they’re building it from the inside out. These guys will not be pushed around 💪 Thoughts? 🎥/ℹ️: Adam Breneman on X

Being Big Doesn’t Make You Violent. I’ve seen 300-pound players get moved off the ball. I’ve seen 230-pound defensive ends wreck an entire game. Size is a tool. Violence is a choice. You don’t become violent because you weigh more. You become violent when your hands strike with intent. When your hips uncoil through contact. When your feet drive through the ground like you mean it. Violence shows up in leverage. In pad level. In how you finish when you’re tired. Some players hide behind their weight. Some players weaponize it. Controlled aggression wins. Stop thinking size makes you dominant. Start training like technique does. Own your leverage. Own your strike. Own the line of scrimmage. If you’re serious about developing that kind of violence, that’s exactly what we build inside the Defensive Lineman Academy. 👇 skool.com/defensivelinem…

So FHSAA will let coaches spend up to $15K of their own money… but won’t actually pay coaches $15K ANNUALLY? Got it. That checks out. Totally makes sense.
