Does Turner sing #partygate in the new Arctic’s song ‘I ain’t quite where I think I am’

@smithymusictwit @nat_benetti You have a lot of synth, I am not how well that translated to the mainstream outside of the UK? I see the impact with bands like The Killers, etc. In general, you had a lot of good pop music and stars from the decade.

@smithymusictwit @TheBrockUK Was just quoting the mylo song

@TheBrockUK @smithymusictwit Duran Duran, missing persons, Duran Duran… 80’s was peak. 90’s was cheesy pop music: the era started with solid music movements but withered into manufactured pop acts at the end of the decade, with music that has very little long lasting appeal
English

@smithymusictwit @Joseph_Osborn87 yeh, i'm with joshy on this one. 90s was THE Pop era

@smithymusictwit Pop band era! 80’s was pinnacle. 00’s was crap
English

@englebert3rd These had a Smokey bacon flavour to them, but were great
English

@smithymusictwit Pop peaked in the 80’s and now I feel it is safe to be a pop fan again
English

@Joseph_Osborn87 Maybe the era of "it's ok to like American Pop". Pop has been completely OK to like in UK/Europe since the 60s ;P

@TheBrockUK @smithymusictwit I would imagine that the average listener cannot tell if something is well produced. They would only notice if it weren’t well produced, much like a film editor. Unless you really pay attention you don’t notice the skill involved
English

@smithymusictwit @Joseph_Osborn87 It's important because I want my ego stroked
