The coaches and parents who allow this to go on are the problem. Instead of teaching kids how to play the game the right way and show respect for the opponent they’re worried about getting viral attention. Embarrassing.

Georgia Tech has the most dynamic offense in the country. Why? They have walked or been hit by pitch more than they strikeout. Almost unheard of for a team to do this. It advertises they have the best and most unselfish approach in the country. Have any other teams in the country walked or been hit by pitch more than they strikeout. Look at your favorite teams stats and see if they've done it. They're probably not even close. Georgia Tech has an approach and they are all in.

In 2026 things are being said out of dugouts that if you said them in 1999 be prepared to never see the field again. I can tell so much about a coach & their program by what they allow their players to say and do. Culture does matter.

@nextlevelbb Louisville Baseball doesn’t make the tourney 23’ & 24’. That’s not the standard @ UL! Forbes, Biven, West, Klein, King Jr, Rose, Moore, Alicea, Danilowicz & others don’t bat an eye - stayed for their brothers, coaches, & program - make Omaha in 25’! Some places are still strong!

A lot (not all) of P5 baseball has truly become the rent a player league. Very little culture building, very little development, very few kids that love the school, program, coaches and bleed the school colors. It's not what college athletics were designed to be. The days of being at one place start to finish is now the minority. Building and sustaining a championship program will become non enjoyable for coaches with honor and character.

The coaches and players at places like LSU are getting paid for the games to mean something. I'd like to see Jay Johnson tell the mega boosters at LSU that these regular season games mean nothing. It may only be the difference between the boosters getting to see LSU host a super regional or not.

Sacramento State won the series at LSU. Wonder what the coaching salary, NIL and baseball budget difference is between the programs? This should not happen in the current landscape of college athletics.
