@RBPundit Jesus died for everyone’s sins. Every single person’s — past, present, and future. We are all in the same boat needing a savior, and the obsession over who physically killed him ignores scripture entirely and the very point of his death and resurrection. In a word, blasphemous.

Fake ass Christian: "Jews killed Jesus!!!!!" Jesus: "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." It's weird how they always leave this part out.

The divide on X today: Everyone who owns a home: “There’s nothing wrong with making your own lunch, I brown bag all the time and rarely eat out.” Renters, criers, basement dwellers, people upset they can’t possibly “ever” buy a home: “I HAVE to spend $28 every day at Chipotle, why do you want me to STARVE?”

@MollyJongFast Governor Kathy Hochul has visited the Dominican Republic, Italy, Ireland, and Israel on official duties. I’m surprised you don’t know about governors being ambassadors for their states.

@Jennife59684080 @patriot_savvy Nope. Do you know what cognitive dissonance is? It’s psychological distress that occurs when verifiable facts come face to face with one’s feelings. It’s a cousin to wokeism in one’s thinking when the feelings can’t be balanced by actual truth.

@JoshMeskerAR @patriot_savvy Yes. The Fed cr*p is so much more believable. Save your "conspiracy". It's so old news. You probably got 4 Covid boosters too.

@JoshMeskerAR @patriot_savvy Yes. I have more than 2 brain cells and know that a real "grieving widow" would have no reason to lie & would move heaven & earth to get to the truth about who really m*rdered her husband because the cr*p we've been fed is just that. That's not the case with Erika. Truth hurts.

@JoshMeskerAR @patriot_savvy Quite the contrary. You obviously don't watch her podcasts. Let me guess. Erika is a "grieving widow"? 😂🤣😂🤣😂

@JoshMeskerAR @patriot_savvy That's why she said she would correct her statement. Had he come on her show to state his side when he was asked, it might have been correct from the start. What journalist get 100% of things correct every time? I'll wait...

@ThomasUmstattd @megbasham Certainly, any good seminary would emphasize both the knowledge and the work. It’s not a purely academic exercise, which is what I believe you’re getting at here. Seminary students have to leave with a functioning biblical worldview, too. So I hear you.

@JoshMeskerAR @megbasham As seminaries age they drift away from the truth. The “good” seminaries tend to be the newer ones. This demonstrates a weakness in the institutional structure. Separating knowledge of the Gospel and the work of the Gospel is inherently unstable.

Part of why we have seen a downgrade in sound doctrine at so many Christian colleges (why they send mixed signals on LGBTQ affirmation for instance) is because they don’t want to risk falling afoul of federal regulation and risk losing federal money. I would say this is the bigger problem.
Ed Stetzer@edstetzer

The Big Beautiful Bill is pretty ugly for bible colleges, Christian universities, and seminaries. Christian Colleges Call New Federal Regulation an ‘Existential Threat’ -@EmilyBelz A proposed policy would label college programs “failing”—and block federal student loans—if graduates don’t out-earn peers without the degree. buff.ly/GYLhU8N

@ThomasUmstattd @megbasham To my point, it depends on the seminary. I also see your point about learning under a sound biblical pastor as an understudy, which I am not against. But I don’t think we throw out all seminaries just because some are bad apples.

@JoshMeskerAR @megbasham Seminary doesn’t seem a good place to learn sound doctrine. I would more trust a pastor who served under an older pastor who has sound doctrine than a pastor with a degree. Seminaries are a somewhat modern phenomena.

@ThomasUmstattd @megbasham Why do potential pastors need to learn sound biblical theology? Really? Certainly, not all seminaries are equal, but this has got to be the silliest question I’ve seen in weeks.
