We all know Scully’s qualities with his goals, assists & passing ability we look forward to seeing him back in the Normo blue! 💙🤍💛

We would like to wish Josh Scully all the best as he leaves the club to return to South Normanton Athletic.
Since joining earlier in the season from South Normanton, he has played 18 games, scoring two goals including one that will be remembered away at Gedling Miners Welfare!
Chris Woodhead said, “Unfortunately it hasn’t worked out with Josh. He wanted guaranteed game time that I couldn’t give, however I understand players want to play every minute of every game. It’s a difficult part of management to keep everyone happy. But I wish Josh all the best back at South Normanton he’s a top lad”

Retford FC have completed the signing of midfielder Josh Scully from South Normanton Athletic.
The 30 year old has been a fixture in the South Normanton Athletic squad for the last couple of years earning many man of the match and monthly awards - he was part of the promotion winning side that lifted South Normanton to the UCL last season.
He has also played for Clay Cross Town, Retford United, Staveley Miners Welfare and Chesterfield FC.
Chris Woodhead is a big fan of Scully and has finally got his man, “I’ve tried to sign Josh on a few occasions in the past and this time I’ve finally got him!”
“He is a creative midfielder who can create chances for us and he has a wicked free kick in his locker that I can’t wait to see when he arrives.”
It is hoped that he will make his debut against Swallownest tomorrow evening, however this is subject to the usual league approvals.
