There’s that inconvenient fact again. We added $700 million in school funding in this budget compared to the last. It’s the 2nd highest expenditure in state government. But nothing will ever be enough for Democrats and their teachers’ union handlers.

* HB 561 HEARING - STATEMENT CORRECTION*   Yesterday in The House Health Committee meeting, I questioned a bioethicist witness who was speaking in opposition to HB 541, the Parental Choice Act, which requires schools and daycares to notify parents of vaccine exemptions an honor them. My question to the witness was: “We have had zero reported deaths from measles in Ohio from 1990 through the present day, yet we do have 105 MMR reported deaths and children who have been vaccinated from the MMR. How do you justify that bio ethically?”    In this question, I mistakenly substituted reported TOTAL CHILD vaccine deaths in Ohio from 1990 to present for the reported CHILD MMR vaccine deaths. The number of MMR reported deaths for Ohio children from 1990 to present is actually 4. The reported number of measles deaths in Ohio from 1990 to present IS ZERO.    While I felt it necessary to make this clarification. I would like to point out that according to a Harvard Pilgrim study (digital.ahrq.gov/sites/default/…) from 2006-2009, only about 1% of serious adverse events from vaccination are reported. This means that even though I misspoke on the number of reported deaths from MMR vaccines, it is possibly 100 times higher than what I stated.    The reality is, Ohio adults and children have been killed and seriously harmed by vaccines. We will never know the exact number. You could die from an infectious disease or you could die from a vaccine. It must be the decision of the individual or the parent on which risk they are willing to take. The bioethicist refused to answer my question as to whether or not a vaccine related death is justified to possibly prevent a measles death. Why? - because you can’t ethically justify one death as a replacement for another.   HB 561 ensures that parents, not schools nor daycares are making the decision on which risk they are willing to take with their child’s life.   I stand wholeheartedly behind HB 561 and behind the children and families affected by vaccine injury and death.   I see you. I hear you. I stand with you.

I co-sponsored HB249 to update Ohio’s indecent exposure laws. Naked men shouldn’t be able to engage in obscene performances in front of children. As I said in my floor remarks, the radical Left keeps pushing the boundaries, but enough is enough.
