@DatniggaMoz To jailbreak the first generation 4K, you'll either need the breakout cable which requires disassembling the device and soldering.. ..or, you can purchase the GoldenEye and DCSD cable.

@Joshblah555 The old one . I have two of them . Both on beta 15 rn. So once 15 is jailbreakable, how do i get the JB to my atv4k? I’ve done the old Jbs with the old Apple TV , as there was a port on the back.

For anyone encountering issues with nitoTV not installing anything, it would be advised to refresh the sources. From there, updates should work normally. (4/4K) If you're still on backr00m/ElectraTV, adding https://joshtv[.]net/repo to your sources would be ideal. 1/2...

@DatniggaMoz Checkra1n cannot be side loaded as it is not a sideloadable app. As for the 4K, there is no way to downgrade it to 14. Once you've updated it, then you cannot go back. Is it the new Apple TV 4K? or the older version?

@Joshblah555 By this tweet did you mean that nitosoft should be working? If so, for me at least, it’s still not working.

...2/2 As for Apple TV 2/3 users, AwkwardTV is still down and is unknown when - or if it’ll be back online. But for the time being, you can add the repo mentioned as It’ll also be included in the updated nitoTV.

@Krookz_ Not necessarily; however I am now re-hosting some of the essentials so nitoTV won't present as much errors upon installing packages.

@emer12 The new Apple TV (4K second gen) isn't jail breakable yet, hence why the 4th gen (or "HD") is recommended.

@emer12 The latest version of tvOS can be jailbroken, yes.

@emer12 Locate your devices IP address in Settings > General > About Then, use terminal on Mac and type: ssh root@ip_address Once you've accepted the connection, you'll be asked to enter a password; it's alpine. After, type: apt-get update Finally: apt-get install com.nito.nitotv

@emer12 Depending what tvOS the Apple TV 4 comes with, you can still jailbreak it via checkra1n which is much like blackb0x.

@emer12 If you wish to take advantage of a newer Kodi, it would be highly advised to invest in an Apple TV 4.
