I've a doubt. How Truecaller are giving notifications of my grow/gpay/other finance apps? How does he know when my autopay scheduled is/my money gets credited/debited? TBH, I don't think any reason of Truecaller is accessing data of other apps except those for which it was made?

Problem: Given a sorted arrays of size N, find 2 indices i and j, such that a[i] + a[j] = X Algorithm that almost everyone memorises: i = 0, j = n - 1 while(i <= j) if(a[i] + a[j] = X) ans = {i, j}, break else if(a[i] + a[j] > X) j-- else i++ Why does it work? Think about the answer being a cell (i, j) in the grid in image. Red cells can never be the answer. Now, start at top right of the grid. If a[i] + a[j] > X, eliminate column by doing j-- If a[i] + a[j] < X, eliminate row by doing i++ You see how you will always get to your answer? At the end of the day, you can either use math or some clever visualisations to fully understand an algorithm. As you gain more experience in competitive programming, you should prefer math. As a beginner visualisations also work really well.
