@KaanHughes @TowcesterRaces @dezzieuk1 Yeah don’t think it liked being moved and then wasn’t put back together in the best way either so has just gone to pieces really. Will be single straights and double for bends 1 & 3

@Joshsealey @TowcesterRaces @dezzieuk1 I remember doing a few interviews on the track during Derbys and couldn’t bring myself to stand in front of it as it was such a state. Do you think it stems from when the track was narrowed and there wasn’t enough to go round by moving it out? Will it be a single or double rail?

Day off spent up at @TowcesterRaces with @dezzieuk1 adding a further 60 tonne of sand to the track, slight reshape/camber& harrow and then the thermal covers on ready for racing tomorrow

@swansalona1 @_MAP78 @TowcesterRaces @dezzieuk1 When I was offered the track consultancy it was top 3 on my list to get sorted just been an uphill battle with the condition the track was in to get it right in a short amount of time but we’ll be there soon hopefully

@Joshsealey @TowcesterRaces @dezzieuk1 One request which I’ve been banging the drum about since GTV days. The inside running rail is the biggest monstrosity. It’s supposed to be a smooth bend, not a point at every joint of connector. Not just to the eye, but I’m convinced it doesn’t help the bend running.

@Kooshykooooooo Possibly 4 meetings saved and you’ve covered the cost of the covers. These are 10 years old and still work so shows they last if looked after and you also heavily reduce the amount of salt needed on the track which means it won’t turn to snot when it rains like a few tracks have

Would love to know how much a meeting abandoned costs the promoter / track......get a feeling these lads have already covered their wages for the year at at Towcester and we are only in January.....Having the best in class in any industry saves you and makes you fortunes

@LozHealerAyres @TowcesterRaces Yeah anything can be covered but as long as dryer is running on the compressor line then they shouldn’t freeze up also recommend a heater in the compressor room so they are drawing in warm air

*Racing Goes Ahead!!* Following a track inspection at 9.00am, racing on Sunday Afternoon WILL go ahead as planned

@porkys22 @TowcesterRaces Thermal covers got delivered a few weeks back and are ready to go on to the track for the upcoming cold spell. @dezzieuk1 starts full time as head groundsman from Friday as well

First of 14 lorry loads of new sand delivered yesterday to @TowcesterRaces on top of the 60 tonne that was added to the surface a fortnight ago in order to improve camber levels and water retention. New sand will be slowly mixed in over the next few weeks

Today @SwindonDogs closed after its final meeting💔 Worked and then met the wife there. More than a track — it gave me a career, lifelong memories, and my family. End of an era but the little man got the final lap🐾
