@asabbas98 This consistent drives me crazy with Cowork. Sometimes it works perfectly then sometimes it just refuses to work at all. Very inconsistent. I’m thinking maybe a dedicated chrome instance that only Claude uses would be best.

Anyone found a way to get Claude in Chrome to work consistently well for them? (Also found a way to stop it crashing chrome) Struggling to make it work truly independently for a decent amount of time.

@imranye I’m finding I’m getting more out of Claude/Codex since I started using my own agents. It’s also helping me avoid vendor lock in, as I can switch to any model without missing a step. But yeah the tinker part is super accurate.

most people don’t actually need hermes agent or openclaw claude/nebula/codex will do all the things you need it to do but if you actually wanna be on the bleeding edge of what agents can do and you’re a die hard tinkerer the edge is always in the open source

Now in research preview: routines in Claude Code. Configure a routine once (a prompt, a repo, and your connectors), and it can run on a schedule, from an API call, or in response to an event. Routines run on our web infrastructure, so you don't have to keep your laptop open.

@imranye Sweet. I recently set up Nanobot on a VPS. It only uses 7mbs of ram at idle. Going to play with a local Hermes agent soon!

200 people pulled up to our Alif pop up in DC last night. I hosted a meetup at this same restaurant after Alif Batch 0 (2024), and 20 people showed up. This time we filled out the restaurant with a 36 hour notice. The DMV community is slept on - so much talent in one room

@_colinjk @trq212 Oh, pretty good idea actually - you'd like to just pre-select the right Chrome profile from Claude, right?

Yo @felixrieseberg @trq212 — any chance Claude Desktop could launch Chrome with --profile-directory? Would allow for dedicated profiles rather than relying on user discipline.

had a dad try to buy chicken and rice from me 5 times in one week. we were closed every single time. his son had spotted PSK on twitter. been showing his dad my tweets about this new peruvian spot just around the corner from their house. monday: dad walks over. closed. tuesday: tries again. closed. wednesday: lunch break attempt. nothing. thursday: one more shot. nope. any normal person gives up after attempt #2. orders deliveroo. moves on. friday. attempt number five. he sees our gate open. walks up to the building - door's actually open. lights on inside. "salaam... are you actually open? can i actually buy food?" we'd been operating ghost hours. testing recipes. perfecting portions. missing customers like him all week. worst part: we'd just sold our last portion. fresh batch would take 30 mins. my brother tells him straight. expect him to leave. "i'll wait. i've tried 5 times. i'm not going home empty-handed." so this father waits outside for 30 minutes. telling me his son had been talking about this place non-stop. he leaves with two boxes. one for him. one for his son. that persistence? that's a father's love for his son. it's why i love building in food, the cuts and burns in the kitchen sometimes makes you forget the moments you can create with it. that night, a peruvian ricebox was a way for a father to bond with his son. so much so that he tried 5 times until he eventually made it happen. but here's the thing - no one should have to try 5 times to taste what we're building. we've been so focused on perfecting the product that we forgot about the people trying to access it. operating in stealth mode. random hours. treating opening times like they're optional. this dad showed me something: when you build something people actually want, they'll literally chase you down for it. but they shouldn't have to. that's why november 2nd, @PSK_UKI is doing our first proper pop-up. simply smashed stepney. 1pm till late (or till we sell out). no more ghost hours. no more missed connections. no more dads trying 5 times. just the peruvian chicken and rice that's about to change london's lunch game. all three sauces. properly stocked. properly ready. november 2nd, we make sure no one has to try more than once p.s i really hope the son that he brought this for DMs me, would love to meet this sunday! i have 2 riceboxes on me with your names on it :)

How weird is wind? Contemplation of nature is a forgotten form of worship. Spend a day contemplating wind as a sign of God for example. Wind fills sails, pollinates plants, cools our skin, sculpts dunes, and carves stone over time. Think about how strange and unlikely the existence of wind is and the billions of things that had to align and exist for wind to exist. The rotation of the earth, the existence of pressure variations, even the existence of something as weird and amazing as pressure etc.. Wind could have very easily not existed and without it we wouldn’t.

There have been a few Gazans I was following on Twitter who were killed, and their final tweets always felt like signs of glad tidings for them. This man, for example, had a final tweet on the day he was martyred that reads: “The one covered in dust for the sake of Allah will never be touched by the smoke of Hell.” —Prophet Muhammad ﷺ I remember sitting there, reading his words over and over, realizing how effortlessly he had already written his own eulogy. It made me question what my last words would say about me, and whether I’m living with the same clarity and purpose he had in his final moments.
