Years ago I started writing @FireOverLight - it started out originally as fictionalized threat analysis. Based on the idea of a virus separating humanity between those with enhanced immune systems and those without. Then COVID came and I shelved it. I think it's time to reboot.

@Keidi_Keating Definitely depends! Differences in opinion are 100% fine. Once people start opposing facts that are based on solid reason and evidence, I start to become less interested in what they have to say. Once that opposition potentially endangers others, even more so.

What is this whole Twitter trend of unfollowing someone because they have a different opinion than you? Is that really what the world has come to - more division? Can't people have different opinions and still be civil to each other? Please enlighten me... :)

@JoshuaCForrest @JennMGreenberg How can you say all hate is wrong and then say hate for political views you don’t agree with is ok ? Certainly unlawful activities should be prosecuted. People should not have their first amendment right taking away.

So wait ... Gina Carano posted that she’s worried about hatred in America spiraling out of control, which she thinks could eventually lead to Nazi-like oppression ... and Disney fired her? Don’t they realize they just validated her fear?

As mad as I am about MS politicians sabotaging our voter-approved MMJ program, I’m more upset that they rejected Medicaid expansion. We’re the poorest state. Yet (in a pandemic) they again rejected $1billion/yr in fed$ to provide health insurance for 300k working MSians. #msleg

@AndrewSly87 @JennMGreenberg I’m not trying to define anyone’s personality. I think you’re mixing a few things up. Like I said, I think this issue is much more complex than many people give it credit for.

@JoshuaCForrest @JennMGreenberg I feel like I'm understanding you perfectly. It sounded as if you were saying that race/religion aren't comparable to people being persecuted for their political beliefs. And I strongly disagree with this. Especially in today's climate.

Where does the Bill go from here? SB 2675 will go to the House for a vote where it will likely pass. Also don’t write off litigation regarding the “trigger language” that was added yesterday (claiming it will only go into effect in 65 is overturned in ct).

@CannabisLawMS So they held a sudden second vote on it after the first failed?

So before Initiative 65 passed, every R politician that I spoke to said they opposed 65 because once it was “enshrined in the Constitution it couldn’t be changed.” And I always said well #msleg can vote to amend the state Const with 2/3 Sen votes & they knew that too.
