@JoshuaSapienta So he didn't fortify them enough and they got cursed for eating the forbidden fruit and now he made his own son come to reconnect them back. So what's your point? He still didn't sacrifice to anyone. He sacrificed for the cause of reconnection.

I’m only spelling out the reason sin exists on earth in the first place by following your analogy. The dog (devil) wouldn’t be on earth if God didn’t send him into earth and then curses the people on earth because He sent Devil to them.

You are already deviating. I am trying to explain what sacrifice means here. And if you are trying to say God was the one who caused it first, yeah, but humans were the ones who ate the forbidden fruit and got cursed. And everything shifted, and they needed to be reconnected. Those sacrifices were usually personal and individual, like the sins committed by the Israelites, or Abraham or Noah just wanting to be grateful for the flood. The one for all humankind is an entirely different case. Humans were cursed and sent away from God. And Jesus had to sacrifice himself for the purpose of reconnecting them back to God. He did not sacrifice himself to God or anyone. He took up the curse by dying and leaving it in the grave. It's easy to understand if you care to.

@nigmaQX Your point is noted, but he caused the sin in the first instance is my point. He sent Devil into Earth, didn’t prepare Adam & Even against an entity who could convince 1/3 of Angels in heaven. “Sacrificing” his son only seems appropriate to compensate for what happened.

If you want a child or you commited a sin and need to be forgiven or just general gratitude, you sacrifice animals to the gods.
