While disgraced 17th Ward Alderman David Moore told a constituent today, April 15, 2026, at a City Hall meeting who was voicing her concerns—“you don’t gotta vote for me then,” he then went on to tell Chicago Tribune reporter Jake Sheridan that he felt his Black “Do-Nothing” Caucus colleagues “betrayed” him by not naming him a committee chair: “It’s a bunch of bitches up here. And you can quote me on that. Quote me on that: It’s a bunch of bitches up in here.” This same failed 17th Ward alderman allowed a staple business, The Sand Piper Lounge, in his ward to be unlawfully demolished by the Buildings Department—a department he calls at any time—while Marlene Hopkins reaches out to demolition companies she has on speed dial to tear down properties in our neighborhoods without court orders. David Moore is a disgrace and a terrible public servant who should have been voted out a long time ago. 17th Ward—do yourselves a favor and make sure David Moore never sees another term.
