Heartbroken home seller today: Selling property to finalise nasty separation and move on in life. Uses an agent recommended by family. Agrees deal 3 months ago. Deal falls through just before exchange due to agent failure. Life back on hold. Wrong agent - life disadvantage.

@moving_charlie Estate agents work upfront listing, marketing have huge marketing costs, viewings, negotiating and managing buyers, sellers, and often solicitors that are a nightmare to deal with, especially if a party is swayed by cheap fees. Through all of this we don’t receive a penny.
