@Shortest__Ahmed More reasons he will rest his players. We need to do the same too. I don't mind us losing to Espanyol, we're still going to top Madrid with 6 points. If we draw, we top with 7 points. We win, we top with 9 points.

Simeone has nothing to fight for in Laliga.

@Shortest__Ahmed Nawa to you o. Madrid just dropped point again this night. Yamal have been playing 90mins back to back. The lad is just 18 years and needs to be rested so he can be fresh for Atletico. Simeone is literally benching his players for us also because he knows what is at stake.

@Justafan453890 @3moNeNam @BarcaEterna It's tiring, man🤦🏻‍♂️. Just like last season's semi final against Inter, we couldn't defend our one goal lead and qualify to the final after the numerous comebacks.

The selfishness of Barça’s attack is at an all-time high. The associative play is non-existent.

@baqirul_ulum @Benson171 Well, I don't think history will stop anything. We've never lost to Simeone at home in all competitions since he started coaching Atletico, that's enough history, but it got broken on Wednesday night. We can as well do the same and break ours against them. I believe in the team.

@Jowizzy10 @Benson171 I am with you on the Midfield, I don't care how, i need Gavi to start that match. I don't believe in the comeback though not because the club is not capable but solely because of history and i feel there is a curse on this Club in this competition.

Barcelona Vs Atletico Madrid 1st leg. Now that the dust has settled, here’s my honest and unbiased take on the Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid match. 1. CUBARSÍ’S RED CARD Cubarsí attempted to avoid contact, but given the high speed of both players, it was almost impossible. The ball may or may not have resulted in a clear goal-scoring opportunity, as it appeared to clip Simeone on the back of his thigh. In my view, it wasn’t entirely fair. Verdict: It’s a straight red card in 9 out of 10 similar situations, so the sending-off was the correct decision under the current rules. 3. KOKE’S FOULS Koke committed at least three bookable offences, yet he only received one yellow card. The first foul came early, and the referee let it slide — something that often happens in high-stakes matches to avoid killing the game’s tempo. He was booked for the second incident, while the third (a kick on Yamal’s shin) could easily have earned him a second yellow. Whether he meant to hit the ball or the player is debatable. Verdict: He deserved to be sent off, but many players have escaped similar incidents in big games. It’s not worth making a huge fuss about. 4. ATLÉTICO’S FOULS AND REFEREEING Atlético committed numerous fouls that warranted yellow cards but went unpunished, while a few others weren’t even whistled. Verdict: The referee tried to keep the game flowing, but his overall performance was poor. Many 50-50 decisions simply didn’t go in Barcelona’s favour. 5. LAMINE YAMAL Yamal was Barcelona’s best player by a distance. He created several big chances, had shots on target, and caused constant problems. However, he also made some poor decisions — understandable for such a young player who still has a lot to learn. 6. MARCUS RASHFORD Rashford also had a good game. He made important runs, got into dangerous positions, and showed good movement. What he currently lacks is that decisive final touch or clinical edge — the very quality that separates world-class players from true superstars. 7. OVERALL ASSESSMENT Barcelona played well and maintained their intensity even after going a man down. However, Atlético showed greater desire, defended resiliently, and took their chances more efficiently. In matches like this, it’s often not about who plays better, but who wants it more. On the night, Atlético simply wanted it more. 8. HISTORY AND REALISM History matters in football. Given Barcelona’s poor away record both in this competition and against Atlético, I don’t see an easy comeback. A two-goal deficit at the Metropolitano will be extremely difficult to overcome. 9. OPTIMISM That said, as football fans we must remain optimistic. If any team is capable of producing a miracle comeback, it’s Barcelona. With this group of talented players, anything can happen. We just need to convert the chances we create and defend better against their threats. Of course, that’s much easier said than done.

Now Madrid have dropped points again tonight, Flick should rest everyone tomorrow. I don't mind us losing tomorrow's game. We need to prioritize the ucl second leg, and also be at our best. We can only do that when the players are fresh.

@Benson171 @baqirul_ulum Sure, we will comeback. An early goal will change everything. I also think we should overload the midfield too for more control.

@baqirul_ulum This is what I've been saying about Yamal, but his useless fans kept defending him and insulting me. I'm glad I was not the only one that noticed his poor decisions in the match.

@Justafan453890 @3moNeNam @BarcaEterna That is the issue. We need to play as a team like we did last season. There was a time this season Flick mentioned it in the press. If everyone becomes selfish, it will harm us at the long run. The team success should come first before individual glory.

When Hansi Flick was close to taking over at FC Barcelona, Angelo Stiller🇩🇪 was one of the midfielders strongly linked with a move to strengthen the squad. However, once Flick arrived, he chose to permanently promote Marc Casadó and Marc Bernal into the first team, and the club ended up not signing any midfielder because we are broke. To this day, Barcelona still haven’t brought in a new midfielder under Flick. Personally, I like him and I think he has the quality to be a starter, not just a squad option, and he could thrive at Barcelona.

@b_octy @S_Samtino @BackroadGee_ Go and order for your brainless parents, you Yamal sexuals that will always be blinded by the truth. We criticized Messi for some nonsense plays during his time in Barca, Yamal won't be different because no player is above criticism. Worth doing is worth doing well.

there's a lot of things wrong with this picture man. Look at Rashford, see where he positioned himself. How will the ball get to you when you're behind four Atleti players? Where's Kounde?😂 Isn't he suppose to be running to space so Yamal can give him the ball? Look at the other players, see how relaxed they're watching Yamal? Everyone of them are in a bad position.

@Captain_swenky @BouafifNour Losing 2 - 0 is better than losing 4 - 0. Forget about the ucl head to head. If we use that to judge, Atletico also has not beaten us at camp nou in all competitions since Simeone joined them, but it finally happened.

We’ve beaten them for four seasons in a row in La Liga at the Metropolitano, including two times with 2+ goals difference, we can do it again. I know the UCL is different, but at the end of the day, it’s mostly a mental barrier. Forget the result, forget the competition, and just play your football. That’s the mentality we’ve been used to seeing from Flick’s team.

@3moNeNam @BarcaEterna Yamal seems to create more chances because he wants the ball always at his feet. How often do you see Yamal make runs behind the defense for him to receive a pass? But we see Fermin, Rashford, Raphinha, Ferran, Lewy, Olmo making runs in behind for through pass.

@Jowizzy10 @BarcaEterna Apart from Lamine Yamal, who creates more chances for our attackers to score? Maybe you don’t watch Barcelona games. Tell me how many chances Lamine has missed when some of our players were in advantage positions to score? Don’t talk anyhow.

@Xavi2_2 @BackroadGee_ After reading what I said, and you're still hell bent on saying nonsense without understanding. It's a fools errand trying to make you understand something so plain. Yamal does no wrong in you people's eyes. I don't do blind argument with kids at the same age with Yamal.
