Reuters got DOJ's own records. 4,000 law enforcement jobs cut. National Security Division down 38 percent. Civil rights division down more than half. Drug prosecutions at a 20-year low. 7,000 positions unfilled. A former DOJ employee said they have no idea who handles a major espionage case right now. This is the tough-on-crime record. It's in their own budget documents.

DoJ's national security division has lost nearly 38% of its staff, internal records show, leading to “unprecedented personnel constraints” in the unit that handles cases involving espionage and the export of sensitive military technology. reuters.com/world/trumps-d…

@lilyycohenn @ThirdWayTweet 4) independent Immigration Court, 5) repeal bars. BTW, "criminal immigrant" & Biden "open border" lines are a total fallacy. Very few criminal immigrants & nearly all admitted under Biden had legal right under US & Int'l law but Congress refused & still does to fund processing.

@lilyycohenn @ThirdWayTweet The Third Way plan is incomplete. Any immigration plan must include: 1) a legalization path for long term immigrants who have no ability under current law. #Registry, 2) modernizing the system, esp a visa for yr round non-professional workers, 3) funding for case processing.

Trump's immigration approach has been reckless and deadly. Opposing it is not enough. Dems need a credible plan to overhaul enforcement in a way that restores public trust and prioritizes order, public safety, and accountability. New from @ThirdWayTweet: thirdway.org/memo/how-democ…

@DawnR82453 @BasedMikeLee @PNWConservative If you are serious, then you need to begin today by eating only imported food. Then clean your own hotel room, nurse yourself & your family back to health, build & remodel your own home, dig dirt, marble, trees, etc

@JoyAthanasiou @BasedMikeLee @PNWConservative And yes, we have relied on IMMIGRANT workers. We have not relied on ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. You really need to differentiate between the two. When you don't, you sound very disingenuous.

@DawnR82453 @BasedMikeLee @PNWConservative I'm working on changing the law thanks. Yes, we do need to allow our hardworking undocumented immigrants to have a path to legal status. I prefer to show them my gratitude since they give us food, clean hotel rooms, caregivers for our elderly, nurses, teachers, firefighters, etc.

@JoyAthanasiou @BasedMikeLee @PNWConservative Your whole job revolves around trying to get illegals a way to become citizens. You don't like the laws we have in place because that makes your job harder. We do NOT need to make ILLEGALS citizens. We need to follow the laws on the books & if you don't like them, change them.

@DawnR82453 @BasedMikeLee @PNWConservative NO, we have relied on undocumented immigrant workers since the early 1980's. Reagan recognized this. You would be eating all imported meat & dairy if it weren't for them. We literally don't have a law in existence for the workers we need the most!

@JoyAthanasiou @BasedMikeLee @PNWConservative We do have Americans who do a lot of the work. We also now have machinery that does a lot. We do NOT need millions more illegal immigrants to become citizens simply because they snuck in the back door. We have laws, the exact same laws that have protected the US for decades.

@DawnR82453 @BasedMikeLee @PNWConservative No, we haven't done perfectly fine as we've relied upon immigrant workers for decades who have no visa even though we needed their labor. That's why we have such a large undocumented population. Now we need to legalize that dedicated workforce who've contributed & benefitted us.

@JoyAthanasiou @BasedMikeLee @PNWConservative So we've done perfectly fine year after year with people coming on work visas & now, suddenly, we need more people, millions, to come in? We need them to not only come in to work the fields, etc., but to stay forever? We'll have to shut down the food industry if not? Right.....🙄

@DawnR82453 @BasedMikeLee @PNWConservative Dawn, immigration law is extraordinarily complex. You may recall from my previous post that I said "year round." H-2A is limited to seasonal & agriculture only. No year round, no livestock.

@JoyAthanasiou @BasedMikeLee @PNWConservative You're either a terrible immigration attorney or you're a very disingenuous person. Which is it? We have had migrant workers come in specifically for farm work etc for years. They come & work & take the money home, same as its always been.

@KathyDixon191 @BasedMikeLee The only politicians lying are the Republicans peddling this noncitizen voting BS. If you want the truth, look at every state audit. States have spent millions to find a statistical zero (literally a handful of noncitizens voted over decades)!

The average person is busy working to make a living and taking care of their family. I am one of them. Watching the news isn't informative. It only gives misinformation. When politicians lie and don't do their jobs, the people find this out and lose confidence. The country loses. We must get the SAVE American Act passed.

This is complete BS ... Presler has (allegedly) found all of TWO whole illegal immigrant names on voter rolls in PA. If you had any idea with what "Statistically Significant" meant .. you'd realize this is the biggest nothing burger story of the century.

@bobbidoll69 @RepMaryMiller It's not allowed & doesn't happen in real life. Nearly all immigrants are ineligible for public assistance. PRWORA law (Clinton 1996). The only exceptions are K-12 education (Supreme Court 1982) & emergency Medicaid (Reagan 1983).

We don’t pay taxes to take care of everyone that wants to come to the USA illegally. It’s for us and our families. Why this was ever allowed is beyond me. Our government is the most fraudulent group of people ever! They’re so corrupt. I hope Vice President JD Vance actually holds fraudulent political figures responsible.

As long as illegal aliens can tap into taxpayer-funded benefits, they have every reason to stay. Cut off those benefits, and the incentive disappears. No incentive = no reason to stay. Watch self-deportations surge.

Extremely funny coming from this DOJ, where it's so well-known that merit is irrelevant to getting jobs that Liberty University's law school sent around a message to students telling them "GPA is not a strong factor" for a DOJ internship because what matters is Trump support.

@DawnR82453 @BasedMikeLee @PNWConservative Our work visas are limited to highly skilled, specialized fields. We don't have a visa for year round non-professional workers. @DawnR82453 @BasedMikeLee @PNWConservative Workers would like to come here to work & go home. However, we don't have any visas for many of the workers we need the most. So no legal way to do that. If you want people to follow current law then you support shutting down our food industry & importing all of our food.

@DawnR82453 @BasedMikeLee @PNWConservative Please learn the law, only a select few have any path whatsoever. There is no path for workers we need the most. None for many family members of US citizens. None for many young people who grew up here since infancy. None for members of our community who've lived here 40+ yrs.
