I’ve been diligent about blocking my mornings out for bible study and prayer + seeing a noticeable difference in my life/demeanor/faith.
Here’s how I set the atmosphere for prayer each morning (a thread):
Gentle reminders for your week:
- God can replace bitter for better.
- Creating boundaries is an act of integrity, not a gateway for guilt.
- Seeing others excel isn't an invitation for comparison. It's evidence that excellence is accessible for you, too.
If you want to pivot start by being obedient.
What is God calling you to do?
It’s not always about getting unstuck or waiting for clarity. Obedience is often the missing prerequisite to unlocking your next step.
A mess can be evidence that you did the work.
A mess can help you trace the parts that still need special attention.
A mess can help you understand your resolute strength to move forward.
The quicker we learn that we are not called to what everyone else is doing or be where everyone else is, the sooner we can stop
— stretching ourselves beyond our limit,
— living in a state of deep sadness or anxiety
— comparing ourselves, our process or our results
Don’t become so familiar with dysfunction (emotional dysregulation, poor habits, thinking small) that you allow yourself to remain stuck or you deny yourself from going to — and thriving in — places you deserve.
We’ve become so familiar with stress, perhaps anxiety, or even speaking negatively about our situations, that it can feel foreign or uncomfortable to let go of *dysfunction* to make room for thoughts/behaviors/lifestyles that create an otherwise environment.
Rejection is not an indicator that we need to try again, try harder, or that we are not enough.
Instead, it's a much needed indication that who we are now is no longer congruent with the desires we once marked.
