Running to lead the Kansas Comeback as the next Governor of Kansas

By a vote of 87 to 37, the House voted to override the Governor’s veto after previously passing the measure by a vote of 87 to 34, reaffirming the Legislature’s commitment to safeguarding women’s spaces and upholding clear, biologically grounded protections in state law. With this successful override in both chambers, S.B. 244 now becomes law. We are grateful to the legislators who took a stand today for Kansas, and for the privacy, safety, and dignity of women and girls across our state. Be sure to contact your State Representative and Senator and thank them for voting to override the veto and enact S.B. 244 into law. Kansas families are watching, and today, your voices made a difference.

The time to act is NOW‼️ Last week, Governor Laura Kelly vetoed Kansas Senate Bill 244, legislation designed to protect the privacy, safety, and dignity of Kansas women and girls. S.B. 244 passed the Legislature with strong support. Now lawmakers have the opportunity to uphold their vote and override this veto. Kansas families are counting on them. Contact your House and Senate members TODAY and urge them to vote YES to override the Governor’s veto of S.B. 244.
