I’m honored and humbled to be promoted to chief of staff for @CouncilmanIzzy! For the last two years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the most dedicated and talented people in Baltimore County and beyond. I look forward to continuing to serve our amazing residents.

We’ll continue to show up and keep doing the work to protect and promote public safety in our neighborhoods — because when we put communities first, we all win.

Congratulations to officer Burrill on being named the Pikesville police precinct’s Officer of the Month for February! It was our office’s pleasure to present officer Burrill with a resolution at the Pikesville Police Community Relations Council meeting on Tuesday night.

This seder marked a moment of solidarity and community as people of all religions, faiths and backgrounds came together to experience the story, meaning and symbols of Passover. And with that spirit, let’s recommit to the work ahead for a more just world.

Tonight, I joined a meaningful interfaith, interethnic pre-Passover CommUnity seder hosted by @theassociated. The story of Passover speaks to the human desire for freedom, dignity and hope.

The biggest shout-out goes to the students—your energy and curiosity made for such a rewarding and educational morning. I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did. It was an honor to share a bit about the importance of public service and hopefully inspire the next generation.

Career day at @spes0310! I had the pleasure of speaking with fourth and fifth graders about my job as a Baltimore County council member and the work I do every day to serve and strengthen our community.

Arkia has a way of bringing people together for the common good. If we’re going to make Baltimore County more affordable, inclusive, modern and safer, then we’ll need strong partners on the County Council like Arkia. I’m proud to support her.

Real progress happens when strong leaders show up and get things done. The Baltimore County Council is ready for Arkia Wade. Tonight, surrounded by so many family members, friends and supporters, Arkia launched her campaign for the County Council in District 9.

Increasing our investment in our school children and also in our community colleges will have a generational impact.

Teachers and all staff in our school system will be properly compensated so that we have strong employee attraction and employee retention. We will increase our investment in organizations like the Student Support Network.

We will no longer squeeze 115 children into 100 school seats. Our policy is simple: one student, one seat. We will ensure that our schools are modern and that our classrooms are not overcrowded.

Today, one of the biggest challenges our kids face is classrooms packed too tight for students to get the attention they deserve. That’s why I passed a new law to stop school overcrowding and put kids first, not developers.

In just the first half of this school year, $23,350 has been disbursed in vouchers to 468 families. Our teachers continue to do to the hard work of helping children succeed, and they can always count on me to be a partner and show up for them.

Thank you to TABCO, Teachers Association of Baltimore County for hosting the 2026 KidCare Walk at Perry Hall Middle School Saturday morning! This walk benefits students and families in crisis in Baltimore County.

At the same time, we are actively working on a long-term solution to modernize the elevator so situations like this do not occur again, along with the broader investments in the Pikesville Armory, as the councilman’s office mentioned.

Property Management will return on Monday to ensure everything is functioning as expected and to confirm there are no additional issues. For now, we are up and running.

Pikesville Senior Center elevator update: Per Baltimore County Department of Aging director Tan: I wanted to share a quick update on the Pikesville elevator. The repair to the control board was successful, and the elevator is now operational.
