It seems like Japanese fans completely misunderstand our point. We never wanted a first-come, first-served ticketing system like Ticketmaster. We are more than happy to participate in the lottery system. Furthermore, we've never expected to have the exact same privileges as local fans, because we believe that residents of the host country naturally deserve priority.
Personally, I would be perfectly satisfied with just having a chance in the later lottery rounds, or even being limited to regular tickets without the option for seat upgrades. But the reality is, we aren't even given a chance to begin with.
Do they honestly think that requiring a Japanese phone number or address actually reduces ticket reselling? I highly doubt it. Even with these rules currently in place, resale websites are still continuously flooded with scalped, overpriced tickets. Do they really think international fans are the ones behind all of this?
Even when major agencies like Starto take legal action against these resale apps, the number of scalped tickets doesn't seem to drop at all. What these restrictions actually prevent isn't scalping—it's international fans from accessing the concert. The people reselling these tickets are the Japanese locals themselves, aren't they? How does restricting ticket purchases to Japanese phone numbers affect them, especially when there are still people willing to take the risk and buy from scalpers anyway?

@Phelps6691712 @JuManaATS Since overseas fans were able to buy tickets for some BMSG concerts before, it makes no sense to stop them from buying tickets afterward.
If Japan’s music industry wants J-pop to grow globally, concerts need to be more accessible for international fans.

I don't want to commandeer the actual post mentioning YT content because serious conversations about the Japanese music industry are happening on it, but for jpop fans who are looking, BMSG uploads stuff to YT CONSTANTLY. I am always behind on YouTube content, especially now.

@Phelps6691712 @AsaleekoR Yeahhhh I am aware that's a problem across most if not all Japanese artists. I really hope there are efforts in the works either independently or nationally to make it easier to go to concerts in Japan. I dream of the day that restrictions like that are removed.

I just love BE:FIRST so much I don't know what to do with myself sometimes. Too overloaded with emotions. I can't wait for what's to come. They've already been planning so many things for BESTY for the next 2 years.... I'm really going to do everything I can to help them explode.
