The Gospel of Jesus Christ Share the gospel with those who have not yet believed in the Lord Jesus. The gospel is this: Jesus is the only begotten Son of the everlasting God—who is God Himself. He came into the world, suffered the punishment of the cross, died, and on the third day rose again from the dead, to pay the price for the sins of the sinners in the world, so that those who believe in Him may have their sins forgiven and receive eternal life. The kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. What Should You Do After Hearing the Gospel? Having now heard the gospel, what can you do? 1. Believe in the Lord Jesus The Bible says that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord (God), and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9-11 KJV That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 2. Read the Bible Carefully and Diligently Buy a Bible and read it from beginning to end, word for word, in order to understand the Scriptures. It is currently recommended to read the KJV English Bible. through the Scriptures discover the purpose for which the Heavenly Father created us. Romans 10:17 KJV So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Therefore, you must continue to diligently read and examine the Bible, because it is this Bible that bears witness to Jesus. 3. Pray, Repent, and Follow the Lord Continue to pray and seek God for: greater understanding of the Bible, true understanding of salvation, and increased faith. Reject all detestable idols and carved images. Repent of the evil deeds you have done. Then be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ—which is immersion baptism, being fully submerged in water. The Bible says that those who believe and are baptized will be saved, and being saved means continuing to believe. After you are born again and saved, everything you need to know about how to live and follow God is fully recorded in the Bible. The Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Matthew Then came Jesus, and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. —Matthew 28:18-20 KJV Mark And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. —Mark 16:15-18 KJV So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. —Mark 16:19-20 KJV Luke And he opened their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Ye are witnesses of these things. —Luke 24:45-48 KJV May the everlasting God, the Heavenly Father—according to the words in the Bible, which are the very words of God—bless you. May the gospel soon spread to the ends of the earth as a testimony. Thanks be to the everlasting God the Heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Glory to God the Lord Jesus! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
