@Awright874 @Gman96665 @dino_vivo @DineshDSouza Well, of course you have to publicly decline a racist groups endorsement. Doesn't change that the groups vote for them because ideolgies change, and they see them more in line with their world view.

@Awright874 @Gman96665 @dino_vivo @DineshDSouza This is apparent when you look at which party is currently overwhelmingly supported by racists and white nationalist groups. I'm not saying that all Republicans are racist, but I am saying that most racists vote Republican.

@Awright874 @Gman96665 @dino_vivo @DineshDSouza After the Civil Rights Movement and the Civil Rights Act of 1964, many white Southern conservatives gradually shifted to the Republican Party, while Black voters and many liberals became a core part of the Democratic Party. Same party names, very different coalitions.

@Awright874 @Gman96665 @dino_vivo @DineshDSouza I mean, the south is more rural, but I'm not sure what the fastest growing cities in 2026 has to do with party realignment that started in the early mid 1900s.

@Awright874 @Gman96665 @dino_vivo @DineshDSouza That has nothing to do with anything. The ideology of the south has been pretty consistent, and they used to vote D, now R. Realignment was still happening through the Civil Rights Movement too. A larger % of Rs supported than Ds. Now Rs are trying to pick it apart.

@Judd5ter @Gman96665 @dino_vivo @DineshDSouza And was far less populated. Check an electoral map. The South had gained reps as the North lost them. Why? Because the South has become more urban and industrialized. Stop thinking the 1860’s is the same as 2026. The world has changed.

@Awright874 @Gman96665 @dino_vivo @DineshDSouza The south in the Civil War was overwhelmingly Democrats. You think all those Americans in the south who NOW vote overwhelmingly Republican changed their ideologies, or maybe the ideologies of the parties changed so they just started voting Republican

@Awright874 @Gman96665 @dino_vivo @DineshDSouza Republicans were in favor of big government, labor unions, etc. Democrats were mostly agrarian populists, which is why many supported slavery. The realignment took decades, but slowly, the Republicans became "conservative" and Democrats more "progressive."

@Awright874 @Gman96665 @dino_vivo @DineshDSouza Call it what you want, but the basic ideologies of the parties at the time were the opposite of what they are now. People or groups change opinions all the time. You could just do some reading and know this instead of coming on here to show how uneducated you are.

@Gman96665 @dino_vivo @DineshDSouza The fact is that during the time of slavery, Republicans were considered the progressive party. So yeah, the overall ideals of the parties flipped.

@dino_vivo @DineshDSouza "Flipped" Southern racist dems controlled the south into the 1980s. FDR prohibited railroad workers/domestic workers from social security, the 2 industries with the most blacks/he nominated and got a former Klansman appointed to the SC. Only about 2 Dixicrats switched to the GOP.

@jhassler80 Bro. Half of these writers wouldn't have a job without the Trail Blazers. I'm confident none want them gone.

Am I wrong or does it seem like a lot of local sports media want the Trail Blazers to leave?

I’ve listened. I’ve reflected. I’ve grown. After losing 6,000 followers for buying a Cybertruck, I realized I needed a vehicle that better aligns with my followers’ environmental expectations and moral values. So I traded it in for a beauty that gets 7 MPG and personally accelerates glacier melt every time I tap the gas pedal. The good news is it has absolutely no connection to Elon Musk. Looking forward to earning back your trust, and hopefully those 6,000 refollows.

I might get hate for this too but I bought a Cybertruck. With a young family, safety was important and so is not polluting the atmosphere with $5 a gallon gasoline.

President Trump is in a tough spot. His proposed deal with Iran doesn't sound much different from the deal hammered out by President Obama; savagely criticized by Trump.

@KlassyKV @doug_in_nc @Gilmovie1 @GeraldoRivera JCPOA forced Iran to get rid of all of their highly enriched uranium and restricted them to under 4% enrichment, and they never closed the Strait of Hormuz until Trump's dumb ass started bombing them.

@CopyCatTooAlso @GeraldoRivera The deal is actually 20 billion and/or sanctions relief worth much more than 400 million. JCPOA did not allow Iran to keep its highly enriched uranium, and only allowed enrichment to under 4%.

@GeraldoRivera I missed the part of Trump's deal that includes 400M in CASH. Oh and the part where they get to keep their enriched uranium? Oh and the part where they get to keep working on nuclear weapons (which has been the big problem).

@DanielTurnerPTF Worldwide events and the global market affect gas prices. In this case, gas prices are up due to an unnecessary war in the middle east.
