@ImMeme0 Same amount of grace as the Coldplay CEO. And this idiot also seemingly won’t be held to account. No remorse. No compassion. No dignity.
Neither of them acknowledge any wrongdoing or apologise when caught out.

🚨UPDATE: Polish CEO Mr. Szczerek of the private company Drogbruk, who grabbed a hat intended for a child on live TV at the US Open, breaks his silence.
“"I understand that some people might not like it, but please, let's not make a global scandal out of the hat. It's just a hat.
I remind you that insulting a public figure is subject to legal liability. All offensive comments, slander, and insinuations will be analyzed for the possibility of taking the matter to court.”

HUGE thanks @AvantiWestCoast staff for helping two distraught teenagers last night. Unable to open the door at Wilmslow they had to go to Nuneaton (an hour away) to turnaround. The amazing train staff made sure they got the returning train in the 2-min transfer time. Thank you ❤️

@will_owen9 It was truly shocking to see, the idiot number 9 starting a fight (again) whilst James lay there unconscious was disgusting
English

@emmetoliver Totally agree. The idiot number 9 starting a fight (again) whilst James Ryan lay there unconscious. Disgusting
English

Wow. James Ryan lies prostrate on the turf- and the Australian No .9 White is more imterested in yet another punch up. 🤷🏻♂️#LionsTour2025
English

@pTah_XV I think Nic White starting a fight (again) whilst James Ryan was clearly badly injured was worse. Hideous behaviour

@ABell2019 @afneil And yet no evidence of any of this? I’ll believe what I saw with my own eyes not what you’ve concocted after the event

Zelensky was twice asked in advance to come to the White House suitably dressed. He didn't.
He ambushed Trump with a sheaf of hardship photos which was impolite and inappropriate, including to the Press who (as it was a Press Conference) were present and could not see them. Trump politely allowed himself to be shown them but was visibly unimpressed.
He lectured everyone including the President with a one-sided historical account - that was as JD Vance said litigating the issues for the cameras - in order to argue publicly against his hosts' desire for a ceasefire.
When he entered it was straight into a list of demands. None of the usual courtesies, including in this case thanks.
After bearing this most undiplomatic behaviour for 40 minutes, including interruptions, Zelensky responded to the VP's use of the word negotiations with an angry tirade, challenging him directly and calling him JD rather than VP.
Then he went into full argumentative mode, interrupting and barracking and sneering, in a shocking display.
The President and VP kept emphasising that they were trying to help him but he wasn't having any of it. As they correctly saw, he didn't want a ceasefire and didn't want negotiations: he wanted to drag the US into deeper military commitment so that he could win.
He knew that this was not on the table so he was trying to appeal over the head of Trump to the Deep State, the Dems, the Neocons, the liberal Press, and public and international opinion.
He was trying both to upstage and to undermine Trump - not to persuade him.
He was let off very lightly. When the White House checked the recording for his sotto voce insult delivered to Vance while Vance was speaking they must have wished they had thrown him out earlier.
His body language was hostile and sulky, and those present rather than watching on TV were entitled to make judgements from this and respond.
The European leaders read this entirely wrong, firing from the hip based on short clips. Most of them don't speak English as a first language so lacked cultural awareness.
No such excuse for Starmer. This was a chance to cement his relationship with Trump and instead he betrayed him. A cheap little man.

@TalkTV @Nigel_Farage What a disgrace they all are. Nobody in business behaves like this. Literally a bunch of morons arguing amongst themselves. They’re supposed to be running the country. Jeering at each other instead. Is this what we’re paying our taxes for?
English

Reform UK leader @Nigel_Farage has asked whether the Prime Minister thought it was right the winter fuel allowance is being cut while reportedly agreeing to pay Mauritius money for the Chagos Islands.

I send both of my daughters to a state school.
I went to a state school.
I believe 100% in the state education system.
However, Labour’s new tax on private school fees is nothing other than a bitter, vindictive and petty policy that results in everyone losing out.
The policy will worsen the education of every child in the UK, regardless of what school they are in, and it will result in less tax overall in the government coffers.
This is not just my view, but the view of the Independent Schools Council and their Chief Executive Julie Robinson who stated:
‘The negative effects of this unprecedented tax on education will be felt by families and children across state and independent schools.’
Adding that it is likely that the new policy will actually COST the treasury money.
With the new policy:
State Schools are going to lose out – experts predict an influx of 40,000 – 50,000 of additional pupils coming into an already stressed state school system.
The treasury is going lose out – if someone sends their child to a private school the state saves around £10,000 per year and the person is already paying taxes for a service they don’t use.
The UK is going to lose out – VAT on private education is against EU law. No other European Union country charges VAT on private education. This further reducing UK overall international competitiveness.
Pupils are going to lose out – according to the Independent School Council the new policy will decrease the quality of education for children in both private and public schools.
Just like with their catastrophic business policies Labour refuse to listen to any expert, such as the Independent Schools Council or the Confederation of British Industry and just bury their head in the sand.
VAT on school fees is bad for children, bad for families, bad for the UK and according to experts will result in LESS tax revenue overall.
Yet, Bridget Phillipson, Labour’s Education Secretary boasted about wearing the deluded new tax as ‘a badge of honour’.
It is so sad to see what is currently happening to our country, to our economy and to our children’s futures.
Please let me know your thoughts on the UK’s new tax on private education and how it may impact your family.

@madbutwright Omg I do this! I can’t reach the higher shelves in supermarkets and so often ask people near me who are more fortunate with their height and they didn’t seem to mind. In fact, I thought seemed happy to help. Didn’t think for one minute that I was causing offence
