Femi Gbajabiamila, chief of staff to President Tinubu, narrates how he almost lost his job during the Lagos Speaker Obasa impeachment saga because of Hon. Desmond Elliot:
I almost lost my job as Chief of Staff last year because of Desmond Elliot. Mr. President called me to his house in Abuja during the Lagos Speaker Obasa saga. He said, 'I hear this Desmond is your boy, the one we gave you,' and I said, 'Yes, sir.' He is one of the people causing problems in the Lagos House of Assembly.

Current Senate Standing Order Precludes Sen. Akpabio from Being Senate President - Oshiomhole
What Sen. Adeniyi Adegbonmire, SAN, said about the Senate Standing Order amendment is correct. That’s why I said the fight is not over. The current Senate President served a 4-year term, lost his reelection bid, served as a minister, and returned this term to become Senate President again. If you add his first term to his current term, he still has not served 8 years. If 8 years is the minimum requirement, Sen. Akpabio does not qualify to preside because he has not met it. If he assumed the role in error, that error must be corrected. Also, the word “consecutively” effectively reduces the Senate President’s term to three years for ranking purposes. These kinds of laws are what breed dictatorship in Africa.

THE LITURGICAL POSTURES IN THE CHURCH
In the Church especially the Catholic Church, various liturgical postures are observed during the liturgical celebrations. These postures are symbolic and they aid our worship of God. Here are some of the main liturgical postures:
STANDING: Standing is the most common liturgical posture. It signifies attentiveness and readiness. At Mass for instance, we stand during the proclamation of the Gospel, the Creed, the Prayers of the Faithful, the Our Lord’s Prayer and other parts of the Mass.
KNEELING: Kneeling is a posture of deep reverence and adoration. It is a sign of submission and humility before the presence of Jesus Christ. That is why we kneel during the consecration of the Eucharist or even during personal prayer, to show our reverence.
SITTING: Sitting is also a liturgical posture. It allows for reflection, meditation, and listening, providing a sense of repose in God's Word and presence.
GENUFLECTION: Genuflection is a specific form of kneeling where the right knee touches the ground. It is typically performed as an act of reverence when passing in front of the tabernacle, where the Blessed Sacrament is reserved or when the Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration. Genuflection acknowledges the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
BOW: Bows are often used as signs of reverence. For instance, Catholics bow their heads during the mention of the name of Jesus and the Holy Trinity. In most cases, a profound bow from the waist is also made when receiving Holy Communion in a standing position, signifying submission to the divine.
ORANS POSTURE: The orans posture involves outstretched arms and open hands, often used by the priest during different prayers at Mass and during the Our Father (Lord’s Prayer). It is a sign of offering and supplication. The extended arms symbolize openness to God's will and grace.
PROSTRATION: This is a complete bow with the body fully extended, and it is typically reserved for special liturgical moments, such as the Good Friday liturgy or during ordinations and profession of vows. It signifies deep humility and submission.
