In various stages of flowering in our little vineyard! Not yet enough for a barrel, maybe a small demijohn if we’re lucky. But the most important thing is that the vines are finally growing really well after the drought setback of summer 2022.

@nztawgtn Why not foam bitumen stabilise it in 2-3 days those joints are a weakness close to wheel tracks ?

As shown in the top photo, the road had sections of cracking surface, which ran deeper under the road. Over the five weeks of work, roadworkers excavated the road deeper than usual to build a new base to strengthen the road, meaning it’ll require less maintenance overall.

We’ve recently finished maintenance on State Highway 2 Chapel Street in Masterton, which involved a full reconstruction of the road across three sections.

My vote for best podcast ever on wine, terroir , indigenous yeast and organics- well done Susie , Peter and Prof Matt Goddard.
