🟢🟢For its last plenary session, the @EUparliament approved #CAP simplification measures: ✅The first one voted on Tuesday focused on the modifications to GAEC 1 giving Member States the necessary flexibility to consider exceptional structural changes in the conversion of permanent grassland areas. ✅The second just approved today deals in particular with the conditionality requirements, GAEC 6, 7 and 8, providing more leeway in implementing the CAP whilst safeguarding the transition towards a more sustainable agriculture. 👉 @COPACOGECA shared the initial @EU_Commission's analysis and supported the proposed simplification measures. The challenging implementation of the new, highly complex #CAP in January 2023 compounded by the extreme weather events, geo-political and economic context made it difficult, if not impossible, to meet certain technical or timely requirements. 🧭In this context, the fast adoption by MEPs of the proposals is seen as a positive signal to the urgency of addressing the concerns that farmers have expressed during the past few months when it comes to the administrative burden associated with the implementation of the #CAP and to the need for immediate applicable solutions. Klopt, snap je punt! Dit geldt overigens ook voor de biologische landbouw. Op bedrijfsniveau wordt er geen kunstmest gebruikt, terwijl in het biologische landbouwsysteem wel degelijk kunstmest gebruikt wordt (o.a. via aanvoer gangbare mest, voer en stro)! Weten veel politici en consumenten niet. PS: ik heb liever de derogatie terug

Weekeind, een beetje knutselen. Hoe maak je de kringlopen in de landbouw zichtbaar voor studenten. En politici........ Hoe plaats je daar Renure uit mest in om de schijnoplossing als kunstmestvervanger te illustreren. Noot: ik kijk hierbij vanuit het landbouwsysteem. Dat de individuele melkveehouder het als oplossing ziet om afvoer te voorkomen snap ik. Dat niet alle mest meer plaatsbaar is ook. Dat renure uit drijfmest kunstmest vervangt is echter niet waar. De rol van kunstmest is aanvullen wat er aan de andere kant de landbouw uit gaat. Die verandert niet. Renure uit drijfmest is geld- en energieverspilling aan het omzetten van stikstof die al in de landbouw zit van de ene vorm in een andere vorm. Een volgend geitenpad in het fundamenteel onjuist denken van de politiek over stikstofproblemen en oplossingen.
