It does not mean you get to identify as a unicorn and demand the world reorganise itself around it. It means you are young. And you need time. And adults around you who protect you…not perform for you. We protect children from alcohol. From cigarettes and drugs. From explicit content online. But not from this. And the parent who stands up and says no, gets labelled. Called hateful. Called ignorant. Called a threat to their own child’s wellbeing. That is the most perverse part of all of it.
