okay, final thoughts about Imperial Thronesong after rereading it and taking a look at some discussions about translation and localization. the connection between MC and Caleb were intentionally ambigous to cause buzz and satisfy some people with a dark agenda about the character. we were constantly reminded through the chapters that they were outer world beings that came from the same source. the en localization team could have come with various other terms to make them refer at each other. for example: "other half" or some figurative nomination like they did in the myth with "Contruo/Destructio" and "A-01 and X-02". but they preferred to go with what we got. anyway. in the cards context, sister and brother also could have a connotation of a simple title, like we see in church/catholic lingo. but the "baby" was literally fetish. there were many narrative points that implied calebmc origin in that context, was far from blood related (where they have the same parents or something). when they made love, it was used the term "primordial chaos" that is a Greek mythology about the creation of everything coming from the void. when we think about modern science, primordial chaos can correlate with the astrophysical concept of gravity's force and it's chaos, interactions that leads to evolution and creation. they were one at primordial chaos, but got separated at the creation. it's like one star splitting in two. It was very clear to me, that 1nf0ld's intention was very ill with this card. the strategies they've been using to promote the game for the international market is very poor and consists on rage and cringebaiting. they have so much potential to be more than that, but I think they want to ridicularize their own game and players for profit. their especialty: buzz marketing. I feel we could've had it all with this anniversary card if the choices made weren't so reckless. it's a shame. overall, when you take steps behind, realizing why they did what they did and ignoring it completely (to be able to digest the content), it's not a bad card and it has various references to calebmc as essence. but I completely understand people who can not bring themselves to read it with that mindset. what they used for bait it's a serious issue and should've be treated as such.
