Ethiopia does not function as a cohesive nation-state. political leaders have explicitly rejected the idea of a unified “Ethiopian identity.” Persistent inter-group hostility and competing historical narratives reflect that fragmentation. Unity isn’t real; it’s a slogan.

@freshben2022 As long as the wealth distribution and infrastructure is not disrupted fairly it will creat unbalanced environment between regions and that also mean federal system itself is not working properly. The federal structure is there to creat a opportunity for fairy share.

@JulaMarshal This project was part of Ethiopian Airlines’ 2030 plan, studied by experts over 15 years ago to find the most suitable location considering aviation needs and proximity to the capital. Let’s not politicize development let professionals do their job.
