@deltaIV9250 I think it is a yet unknown state of Xenon based on its crystalline structure. Much like how there is graphite and diamond with respect to carbon. Likely also part polymer that the scanner could not detect (either unknown or too little)

@LPaulson7 @Songofaflea @shipwreckedcrew Except Congress hasn't taken action to stop him or any previous President from making modifications to white house. Thats the precedent. The Constitution does not outline how Congress must manage properties and the judge does not have the authority to make something up.

This is a great example of the failure of credentialism. Random people have to explain basic political science to a so-called “Professor of Political Science.” The Strait of Hormuz issue is the perfect “allies” test. The United States has very little direct interest in the strait, as almost none of its ships or energy flows pass through there. So before the United States starts doing all the heavy lifting, it is the ideal moment to ask those who actually benefit from the strait being open what they are willing to contribute. The fact that they all said nothing is proof of what Trump has been saying all along, that supposed “allies” are really just freeloaders. So this was never about whether the Europeans could actually help with a handful of dilapidated frigates. It was a test, and they all failed.

@IMedunic @HansMahncke We dont have much interest in the strait. We have an interest in one of the countries that borders the strait thats chanted Death to America for 40 years. The strait is a side piece to this.

@SciGuySpace @DJSnM It’s not anti SpaceX, it just arguably goes far in enhancing competition. Governments need a reliable supply chain; they can’t rely on one vendor for that. Vendor redundancy for the government is absolutely a National security issue.

I 100% agree with you. NASA admin should not be a political appointment... But it is. It seems to me a good administrator is a good administrator. However, when we get a Democrat administration, they will replace the head of NASA. Both parties do this. I'm not sure how to stop the cycle.

When Democrats attempted to advance sweeping election reform legislation in 2021, Republicans were unanimous in opposition because it would have federalized elections, something we have long opposed. Now, I’m seeing proposals such as the SAVE Act and MEGA that would effectively do just that. Once again, I do not support these efforts. Not only does the U.S. Constitution clearly provide states the authority to regulate the "times, places, and manner" of holding federal elections, but one-size-fits-all mandates from Washington, D.C., seldom work in places like Alaska. Election Day is fast approaching. Imposing new federal requirements now, when states are deep into their preparations, would negatively impact election integrity by forcing election officials to scramble to adhere to new policies likely without the necessary resources. Ensuring public trust in our elections is at the core of our democracy, but federal overreach is not how we achieve this.
