Kugawo Nyweba, 19, lifeless body was discovered at a dumping site in Makhanda, Eastern Cape, on 10 July 2024. It is alleged Kungawo went missing from her home on 5 July 2024 after she was allegedly taken by her ex-boyfriend, who is a teacher, and his friend, who is a caretaker at Alice Primary School, along with their partners. It is alleged that the two women, aged 19 and 45, and their partners were allegedly part of Kungawo’s murder. The four suspects allegedly tortured and killed Kungawo and then burnt her body using old tires after dropping it at a dumping site in Makhanda. Kungawo’s body was burnt beyond recognition.
